Accessibility Statement

DKM Academy is committed to providing a training environment and a website that people of all abilities can use with dignity and independence, consistent with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Last updated: July 28, 2026

1. Our Commitment

We are committed to meeting the accessibility needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, and to treating every member and visitor with dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity.

2. Website Accessibility

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Ongoing measures include semantic HTML structure and landmarks, descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, labelled form fields, visible keyboard focus, full keyboard operability of interactive controls, and text and interface colours chosen to meet contrast requirements.

Accessibility is reviewed as part of our regular site maintenance. Some third-party or legacy content may not yet fully conform; where that is the case we will provide the information in an alternative format on request.

3. Accessible Service at Our Facility

Service animals and support persons are welcome at DKM Academy. If a support person accompanies a member, we will not charge that person an admission fee.

Coaches will adapt drills, pacing and equipment wherever it is safely possible so participants with disabilities can take part. Please tell us before your first class what you need and we will plan the session with you.

If an accessible feature or service is temporarily disrupted, we will post notice at the facility and communicate the expected duration and alternatives.

4. Requesting Accommodation or Alternative Formats

You can request accommodation, or ask for any content on this site in an alternative accessible format, by calling (647) 897-1931, messaging @dkmacademy.toronto on Instagram, or speaking to any coach at the front desk. We will respond as promptly as reasonably possible and at no additional cost.

5. Feedback

We welcome feedback about the accessibility of our website and our facility — it is how we improve. Feedback may be given by phone, in person, or in writing, and you may give it anonymously. We will acknowledge feedback and explain any action taken.
