When you book a free class or contact us, we collect the information you voluntarily submit: your name, phone number, email address, the program you are interested in, your stated experience level, your preferred date and time, and any notes you choose to include.
If you become a member, we may additionally collect emergency contact details, relevant health or injury information you disclose to us, waiver and consent records, attendance history, and billing records processed by our payment provider.
Our website may automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and performance purposes.
We use your information to schedule and confirm classes, respond to enquiries, administer memberships and billing, keep required safety and waiver records, contact you in an emergency, and — where you have consented — send you news about programs and events.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties.
By submitting a booking or enquiry form, you consent to our collection and use of that information for the purposes described above. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide certain services.
Marketing emails, where sent, comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and always include an unsubscribe option.
Your information is stored in access-controlled systems and is visible only to authorized DKM Academy staff. Our website and database infrastructure is operated by third-party service providers who may store data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States; where this occurs, your information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected or as required by law. Enquiry and lead records deleted in our internal system are held in a recoverable state for 28 days, after which they are permanently erased. Signed waivers and injury records are retained for the period required to protect our legal interests.
Our website uses only the cookies and local storage strictly necessary to operate the site and to keep staff signed in to our internal system. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You may block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some functions may stop working.
Our Kids programs serve participants aged 7–15. Registration information for minors is provided and consented to by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without guardian consent.
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to request deletion where we are not legally required to retain it. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
